Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you use ToolNest.

What we do not collect

There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no contact forms on this site, so we hold no database of names, email addresses or passwords. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. That includes health figures, salary figures and anything else you enter — none of it leaves your device.

What we do keep

Two narrow things. First, an anonymous page-view count per tool, so we can see which calculators are worth improving; it records that a page was opened, never who opened it. Second, your preferences and recent inputs may be saved in your browser’s local storage so a page remembers your last values. Local storage stays on your device, is not readable by us, and is cleared whenever you clear your browser data.

Advertising and cookies

ToolNest is free to use, and advertising is how it stays that way. When ads are enabled, third-party vendors including Google may set cookies to serve and measure them; Google’s use of advertising cookies allows it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or manage cookies generally through your browser settings. If you are in a region that requires consent for advertising cookies, no such cookies should be set until you give that consent.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data, and to object to certain processing — under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, or the CCPA and CPRA in California, for example. Because we do not collect personal data or run accounts, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve or erase; where a request concerns advertising cookies, the browser and Google controls above are the practical route.
